A Poem.
A Poem?!

I love my English teacher and all, but if there is one thing i cannot write, it is a poem. Especially a poem about “Changes” or whatever the subject was.
And it's Christmas homework.

Urrgh. Je suis suckish. This isn't going to end well. She reckons I will be able to write poetry. Me, I'm not so sure. Particularly cos its mandatory and is then going to be entered in a college-wide competition. If I wanted to enter the competition I would. Probably with some kind of short story – that's my forte.
Poetry? Not so much.
We'll see how it goes in any case. Maybe post it here. Is it allowed to be entered in a competition then? Some kind of copyright law? I don't know. The biggest change I can think of anyway is my parent's divorce. That's gonna be one bitter, angst-y poem.
That's no more then 50 lines.

Peppermint ice cream + chocolate sauce + Hamlet = awesome.
I want some orange juice. And cheesecake. And to step on my english teacher's foot for being such a bitch.
But other than that, life's good. I got a 92 on a test I barely studied for, which means I'm all but exempt from the final. Trying to raise another grade from a 75 to a 93. Think I can do it? Me neither. But hopefully I'll get close and she'll take pity on me.
And tomorrow, I'm making Bunsen-burner s'mores.
Be jealous. :)
Peace out.

Hello, a native / near-native speaker (or a Russian teacher whose English is close to this level) is needed just to chat English once a week after 19.00 somewhere in a cafe downtown.
Purpose: to practice speaking, improve pronunciation and learn some new collocations and idioms.
I've been learning English since childhood and used to work as translator, so I speak rather well, but don't have much practice now and want to make my “Russian English” sound more English.
